And what about his inexplicable, self-imposed tan?  Has he nothing to say about being terror-alert orange?  For defying the laws of physics by be being a shade of orange that is impossible for human genetics to replicate and that exists only in cartoons?

Honestly, I’ll give him crying and smoking and cease asking the meaning of life (and expecting an actual answer) if he just let’s up off the spray tan. This article (posted at Huffington Post) recounts Boehner‘s interview on Fox News Sunday.  During the interview Boehner is asked by Christopher Wallace about his crying fits and chain-smoking.  He defends both vehemently.  Of his crying (which is now legendary), he replied:

“I wear my emotions on my sleeve.  I’m not going to apologize for being emotionally attached to the things I feel most strongly about in this town.”

Look, I love New York City (my hometown) but I don’t cry every time someone spills a cup of coffee.  I’m all for a sensitive man but Boehner doesn’t just get teary-eyed or shed a few tears, he breaks down into full-blown, PMS emotional hysteria.  It’s not endearing or sensitive or sweet.  It isn’t the emotional gushing of a man who cares so deeply about the world that he can’t stop crying when he absorbs all of its injustices.  It’s flippin’ odd (does he cry during sex with his wife… or himself?). So what is all this crying about?  It has been speculated in more than a few media outlets and blogs that his incessant, weepy outbursts are the sign of an alcoholic in recovery (I’m not touching this one). Whatever the real reasons for his bizarre tear-fests, the consensus across the board (men AND women, democrats AND replucicans) is for Boehner to put a sock in his tear ducts.  Below is a comment from the article posted by a reader:

“John just needs to KNOCK OFF ALL OF HIS CRYING !………

­He’s tough as nails, and don’t mind yelling a few choice words all over the place at anyone, when he wants to. And his crying is only brought to the surface, when he’s speaking about his upbringing and helping out in his dad’s bar. He never cries for any of America’s kids who he’s about to cut funding for on programs such as the CHIPS program !”
