VIDEO: How to Survive SXSW Like a Pro

If you’re going to SXSW 2012 (March 9-18), you know what a beast attending the festival can be (especially if you’re going for the first time). Tech/web-video luminary Steve Garfield (@stevegarfield) has rallied other tech/SXSW seniors to produce a much-needed, helpful daily chat show on how to survive SXSW with your sanity in tact (from where to eat, to what to wear, to travel tips).

The chat takes place on Google+ Video Hangout and looks damn good (so if you’ve never tried Google+ Video Hangout, this should give you plenty of reason to try it). Video of the first Hangout sessions is below.

Garfield describes the chat series:

“If you are a n00b to South by Southwest or a seasoned vet, be sure to join +Steve Garfield’s #sxswlive Hangout’s LIVE at 2pm EST every single day from now through Thursday March 8th. The show is all about tips and tricks for getting the best out of SxSW, knowing where and what the best parties and panels are, and figuring out exactly what the heck to do there!

The cast of characters will rotate around but does include +C.C. Chapman, +Ja-Nae Duane, +Jeff Cutler, +Zane Aveton, +Jeffrey Powers, +melissa pierce, +Amy Porterfield as well as +Steve Garfield and +Lynette Young.

Lynette Young hosting the technical side of the show because she have Hangout On Air abilities & loves the project! So be sure to tune into her Google+ stream or Steve’s every day at 2pm EST to watch!

Want to watch the archives? Check out Steve’s Google+ to find out where to catch them.”
